Carpet Cleaning

We use the hot water extraction method to clean carpets for our domestic customers. Although some refer to it as “steam cleaning”, no steam is used in the cleaning process – it is merely a by product of the hot water used to clean the carpet. This method of cleaning is the most recommended method by most carpet manufacturers and ensures a deep and thorough clean every time.

We harness the power of our twin vacuum extraction machine with 800psi pump, which means quicker drying times for our customers and a faster, more efficient clean. Our careful cleaning technique ensures that your carpets are not over saturated with water and solution, keeping drying times to a minimum and ensuring a fresh and pleasant smell after cleaning, which can be further enhanced with the use of a deodoriser.

Would you like to protect your carpets after we have cleaned them? We can apply a stain protector post clean at a cost of 50% of the amount we charge to clean your carpet. Ask us when we arrive to clean your carpets. We’d be happy to give you a free demonstration.

Carpet Cleaning FAQs

Q: Can I walk on my carpet after it has been cleaned?

A: You can, but if your carpet has a pile then it is best to leave the carpet undisturbed for as long as possible or until fully dry.

Q: How do you clean my carpets? Do you steam clean them?

A: We use a hot water extraction machine. A common misconception is that this method uses steam. We do not use steam so strictly speaking it is not steam cleaning but it is the deepest and most thorough clean you can get. In rare circumstances we are also able to dry clean a carpet if need be.

Q: How long does professional carpet cleaning take?

A: Each job is different, but on average it could take around three hours to clean a typical three bedroom house. Small jobs, even where only one room is cleaned, can often take an hour due to the time needed to set up our equipment.

Q: How often should I have my carpets cleaned?

A: Tricky question! It depends on how well you maintain the carpets and how many people and animals are living in the household. A busy household with pets and children, for example, could require the services of a carpet cleaning professional once or twice a year. A household with two people who vaccuum at least twice a week and take their shoes off would only require a carpet clean once every 18 months to two years.
